I have a particular interest in literary and non-fiction book translations, and have also had multiple successes with my own screenplays and short stories. I have a passion for queer, speculative and horror fiction, and a keen interest and academic background in cultural studies, history and linguistics, but I am open to translating any genre.
Polyglot
I have had a love of languages for as long as I can remember, and currently translate professionally from German, Danish, Polish, Swedish, Russian, Norwegian and Luxembourgish into UK or US English. I have also studied Czech, Burmese, Indonesian and Mongolian (Khalkha) at university level.
Professional
I have been working full-time as a professional freelance translator since 2014, specialising in legal and CSR documents, creative marketing texts and more, and have translated over 6 million words to date. I have also provided translations for countless museums and galleries across Northern and Central Europe.
I was the Winner of the Goethe-Institut Translation Award 2023 and was shortlisted for the John Dryden Translation Prize 2021. I am also an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders and a member of DELT.
